Central Electric Membership Cooperative grants $3,000 to CCDC

Operation Round Up, Central Electric Membership Cooperative’s Foundation, has selected Chatham Community Development Corporation as a grant recipient. This $3,000 grant will help us extend Plugging Leaks services to the most rural parts of Chatham County where utility burdened customers live.

Operation Round Up is a community development program funded by the voluntary contribution of Central Electric members to the Central Electric Member Care Trust, Inc. Charitable donations are made by the Trust Board to worthy projects in the Central Electric service territory (Chatham, Harnett, Lee, and Moore Counties). Organizations, groups and charities in these counties are eligible to apply as long as they meet the specific funding guidelines established by the Member Care Trust Board of Directors.

We appreciate this important partnership with CEMC and are actively seeking referrals for customers who are also CEMC members. Please contact Tracy Lynn at tracylynn@chathamcdc.org or call 919-533-6704 for more information about our free services.
